Robin Hood of Haveley Hey!

What a fantastic performance this morning Year 5!  I’m sure everyone that came to watch will agree that the final show was very impressive.  A big thank you to Becky for all her hard work.  Year 5 have really enjoyed their weekly sessions and have clearly been inspired by their visit to the Lowry theatre earlier in the term and the chance to meet our adopted actor Amelia Donkar (aka Marion) after the show.  Click on the Library Theatre company logo to find out more about the project.

Our Robin Hood performance was great. We did two performances, one for ks2 and one for ks1. I couldn’t believe that we had the chance to work with a professional actor it was brilliant. Also I couldn’t believe we did all that performing in the space of time we had. Becky is an outstanding actor and she was brilliant. She was the best person for acting who ever came to our school. Our trip to the Lowry theatre was exciting. When we got there it was huge. When we got inside the theatre it was fantastic. There was colourful pictures everywhere. When we sat down we got a programme with all of the actors in it. Half way through the show we got an ice-cream it was tasty. After that we got on the bus an went to school then we went home.

Our play was brilliant. We had a great time experiencing how to play as the different roles. We all had more than just one role! Also we wouldn’t have gone to the Lowry if not for Becky . We all enjoyed performing the play even though some of us were a little bit nervous. The achievement from the start to end was very impressive too. I cant believe we made up such an amazing preformance in such a small amount of time. I loved the way Becky taught us how to do the stage fighting, it looked so realistic when we saw it at the Lowry. I liked the archery contest most.
